Houston Fashion Week 2019

Houston will kick off their Fashion Week 2019 February 21st-22nd 6:00-9:00 p.m. Local celebrities, fashion industry professionals, and guest will attend the high fashion events including the Fashion Expo and fashion shows at the River Oaks Shopping Center 1966 West Gray Street Houston, TX 77019.
"This is year 11 so for me, it's a new beginning. We did the Houston Fashion Week for 10 years and I decided to build with new energy, new concentration, and to compete in the market with something new. Totally different than what we had before", said Fashion Week Brand Developer Director, Victor Quinteros.
The upcoming fashion week will include two major fashion shows, with fresh, innovative inspirations. "The first event is more contour. More long dresses, luxuries, stones, and everything like that more house contour related. What's more contemporary, print wear, short dresses, no stones, and more into public is the show, which is the contemporary, ready-to-wear. We did all the parties and activities in Houston, but we left the main event one month later, which is the main event", said Quinteros.
The fashion show will present the Spectra Fashion Show with Houston's special city name. "It is inspired on the future, because Houston is a "Space City" and we have a very connected relationship with NASA. The look of the show is inspired in the future, hair and makeup with futuristic inspiration from the beauty team", said Quinteros.
With the 11th year, Quinteros and Houston Fashion Week's team created a concept that's not related traditional fashion cities. "We have our own thing. It's Houston, Texas is the Space City that's what we're projecting during Fashion Week. We like having an organic original development that's not related to New York, Los Angeles, or Europe", said Quinteros.
Houston's Fashion Week Couture Fashion Show 2018 will be the second event with a special inspired theme based on an Italian singer. "I decided to choose Raffaella Carra, because she was very famous around that time. I wanted to show women an inspiration for the event and I decided at the beginning of the year, to use a symbol from the 70's women that were very famous", said Quinteros.
With over 15 years in the business, Quinteros knew using Raffaella Carra as an inspiration Texas has never seen. "We really make an impact getting inspired by the Italian personality and when I saw both magazine dressed as Mina which is the competitor at the time to Raffaella Carra I was very happy to see that we were on the right track and basically promoting two beautiful and inspiring women from the 70's and now Texas is going to present the ladies in Houston", said Quinteros.
The fashion week will also support a toy drive and contribute to individuals within Texas. "I am trying to do an activity where I invite personalities, celebrities in Houston to walk the runway and to support a toy drive for children and families of Texas that are HIV/AIDS basically", said Quinteros.
Houston celebs, makeup-artists, fashion designers, stylists, professionals, and guests will enjoy great entertainment, mingling, and networking within the fashion week. "We have a VIP for the principle contributors to the event, because we have been supporting fashion designers for 11 years now. That's how we're able to support new, emerging designers and bring them to New York usually for an event called, Textile Designers in New York on February 2019. We also have public entrance that are affordable and we have a stamp key for the ones that one to be placed on hold, a scan peel maybe we have a few secrets available to invite them to see the show", said Quinteros.
Guests that are not fashion professionals are also welcomed to the high fashion event. "Yes, We have a lot of list of people that is contributing to us from the different years. They are going to be the first invited to the event. We have some tickets available that is not related to us. People we don't know to give them an opportunity to join the event", said Quinteros.
The expected attendance rate is 200-300 guests during Fashion Week. "That does not mean it's going to be in a small stage, it's going to be a bigger stage. This is a new generation fashion week event, which means we are more worried about the internet traffic than the actual show itself, because because we have over 100,000 fans and we are projecting this fashion week to be eCommerce friendly", said Quinteros.
